Carmen Lucero-Haines, LPC, CAC II

Carmen Lucero-Haines

Carmen has over 18 years experience working with children and families in various settings, which includes schools, mental health centers, the judicial system, and private practice.  This broad range of experience gives her understanding and insight into the needs of this community.   Her particular areas of expertise include family and marital counseling, EMDR as a tool to work with trauma, substance abuse counseling.  She has also been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is used in working with various traumas.  She views psychotherapy  from a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational, multisystemic  perspective.   Carmen is fluent in Spanish,  and has extensive experience with the Latino community.

My passion for counseling comes from a spiritual perspective and a desire to guide people toward wholeness,  tranquility, and harmony.   I believe in working collaboratively to assist clients in finding solutions that will bring them back to wholeness and incorporating various tools and techniques is part of this process.  Faith or spirituality can be a part of your therapeutic  journey  if you desire and if it is important to you.   In our world today, we are experiencing many stressors and life situations and counseling can be effective and timely to alleviate these stressors.

My fee is $95.00 an hour and I also make every effort to accommodate those who may need adjustments.   I am on some insurance panels and accept cash, credit cards, and checks.  I am available on a part time basis Thursday and Friday afternoons and evenings.

I look forward to meeting you.
